Hello, Self Developers and welcome to the Patrick Kelly Podcast for Self-Development where I will be reviewing all of the books on Self-Development that can change your life for the better this year and years to come. It is said that if we keep on doing what we always did, we will keep on getting what we always got. In other words, to change our output, we first have to change our income.

Chapter 1: The Power of Self-Talk: when the mind talks, the body listens, we talk ourselves into an outer, very big three, your defeat in the game of life, there is nothing more powerful than a power of suggestion, and there's nothing more powerful than your own suggestion on your own life. There is a direct relationship between self-talk simulation, and actual performance. What the mind to dwells upon, the body acts upon. The Inner Winner Formula is imagination, plus internalization, equals realization. This self-image record has been recording your own beliefs and thoughts about yourself. It records images of what you see and other people say, more importantly, it records your own self-talk minutes to minute. You're self-taught creates your self image, and your self image is governing your performance. Be careful of how you talk to yourself.

Chapter 2: The Inner Winner Self-Talk To Music: Your brain and nervous system cannot distinguish between a real experience, and one that is vividly and repeatedly imagined. Your self image stored at the subconscious level of thinking, controls your behavior and performance. And when the left hemisphere of your brain is quieted, the right hemisphere of your brain will hear messages that can transform the body. But the left side handling words and the right side handling music, and sensory  images with the two halves operating a kind of partnership. A special type of slow music with a certain rhythm has been proven to produce a state of reverie and relaxation that greatly accelerates and enhances memory. Always use present tense self-talk as if you have already received the desired condition. Tell yourself what you want, and not what you don't want.

Chapter 3: Self-Confidence: Self-Confidence is built upon the reinforcing of past success and the visualization verbalization of future success .Self-Confidence is believing in your dream when that is all you have to hang on to. The most important opinion you have. Is the one you have of yourself. And the most important conversation that you can have with yourself, outside of prayer is the one you have with yourself, every waking moment of your life. The most powerful words you can say to yourself is "yes, I can". Success comes in cans, while failures come in, cannot.

Chapter 4: The roads of failure is built with missed opportunities: The road to success is paved with daily optimism. Yesterday is a canceled check and tomorrow is an IOU. Choose the thoughts and actions that shape your life. We have to stop falling into the traps of the, if only in some, day isle. Someday isle is a Fantasy Isle. Stop stewing and start doing. Motive plus Action equals Mode of Action. Motivaction action gets the job done. The real risk in life is doing nothing.

Chapter 5: The Power of Goal Setting: Setting a goal starts with a dream, a desire for something we really want .Planning is the roadmap that leads us to our destination. Motivation is a fuel that takes us there. But first you must have a goal for, if you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there. If we don't know clearly what you want to go in life. We probably won't recognize it. When we get there to get somewhere, you have to know where you're going. Aimless labor is like traveling on a rudderless ship life without purpose and negative attitudes in low self-esteem will flourish. The secrets of productive goal setting is establishing clearly defined goals, writing them down and then focusing on them several times a day, with the words and pictures and emotions, as if we have already achieved them.

Chapter 6: The Value of Time: Time is a Ruler of each of our lives. Time is the only equal opportunity employer. Every person has 86,000 seconds per day to achieve or not achieve their goals. Begin each day with a question, what am I going to accomplish today that has the best use of my time and will leave me a step closer to my goals. Winners develop a cherish respect, for the passing of value of time. Losers begins to fear the passage of time, chasing as if life were erased to come in first. Squandering time and trying to hide from it. How we spend our free time, is a do it's ourselves project. When faced with the decision involving your time, you have to ask yourself does this action substantially helped me towards achieving my goals?

Chapter 7: The Power of Habits: Losing is a habit, unfortunately, so is winning. It is far easier to be doing something that you truly desire, than to quit something that is a daily routine. Most people spend time practicing their bad habits rather than the good ones. Self discipline is the ability of the inner winner to practice within. High Achievers, know that the trained imagination is the greatest tool in the universe. As we practice within, we discipline our thoughts to create a new habit of superior performance. Success is not in the stars or the luck of the draw. It is in the persistent daily effort. Excellence takes imagination, preparation. Self-discipline courage, perserverance and faith. Until a decision is linked to a definite goal, there's no reason to act upon that decision. Since the decision is only a promise, the proof is in the action and the practice. We must always convert good decisions into a daily habit.

Closing thoughts: On a scale of 1 to 5, I would rate this old book with a solid 5 for presentation, storytelling, formulas, and self-talk techniques for becoming an Inner Winner.
